Chewelah, WA – Two local NON-PROFITS
MERGE
Through
talks over the last several months, it was determined that Colville Arts
Foundation and Greenwood Institute d’Art of Chewelah would join forces and
merge their many talents, effective immediately. “Pooling our resources seemed

An ARTFEST with a difference!
LIVE MUSIC ALL DAY – VISUAL ARTS –
KAREOKE – POETRY SLAM – REFRESHMENTS (fresh-squeezed lemonade!)
ADMISSION BY DONATION
“WELLNESS THROUGH THE ARTS—FIND YOUR PASSION. . .” will be held on Saturday, September
22nd, from 10 am – 9 pm in Chewelah, at Greenwood Institute d’Arts’ new location:
The FAT TONES, a Spokane-based blues band with a large fan base,
will take the stage at 4 pm until 9 pm.
ARTISTS & Craftspeople are welcome to sell their wares. If you are an
artist who would like booth, call Gina at 675-1924. Booth costs: $25.00 per 10’
x 10’ booth for the entire day, 10 am - 6 pm. Setup is that day beginning at
8 am. No commission will be taken for artwork sold.
STUDENTS from the OIV Arts Consortium will have a booth for their original artwork.
POETS & Storytellers who would like to perform please call Gloria at

The
two non-profit directors thought the need for creative expression can be a
valuable tool to combat social ills in our communities, namely, prescription and
non-prescription drug abuse, alcohol abuse, and domestic violence. Creative
expression is necessary; many studies have proven that those who do find a
creative outlet—find their passion--are healthier, happier citizens.

FUNDRAISER: This event also serves as a fund-raiser for
Chewelah resident Tammy Carr, who is suffering from a rare form of cancer.
Funds raised will help with her medical expenses. Please come out and enjoy the
arts, enjoy the music and help this worthy cause.
